f
you own a pet or would like to adopt one, the Internet
is a rich resource for information. The Middlesex County
Community Access Project (CAP) has created this Internet
guide to pet care to help you find the information you need.
You can use the Internet to help locate any kind of pet for adoption,
learn the kind of food and shelter your pet needs, find a veterinarian
and get tips on dealing with behavioural or health issues.
You can also connect with other animal-lovers and find lots of
fun pet-related sites. Of course there's lots of great stuff
for kids, from games to encyclopedias for homework help.
Click on the animal photos or words at right
for pet care information relevant to you.
To get started you might want to visit the
general information section.
It lists some excellent animal care resources and has info
on adopting a pet, first aid, finding a vet
and lost and found resources.
To use another Internet guide
(such as travel),
click on the appropriate
picture or words at the top of the page.
Additional resources -
such as books, magazines, newspapers, videos and
DVDs - are available at your local branch
of the
Middlesex
County Library.
You can even
search the library catalogue
from home!
Try these subject headings for info about pets:
pet adoption, pet medicine, pet owners.
Ask library staff about the Electric Library.
For local community or federal, provincial
or municipal resources, search
mycommunityinfo.ca.
You can type the words you're searching for in the
box on the right side of this page, and click
the info button.
Or
and search from there.
