You can use the Internet to help locate any kind of pet for adoption, learn the kind of food and shelter your pet needs, find a veterinarian and get tips on dealing with behavioural or health issues. You can also connect with other animal-lovers and find lots of fun pet-related sites. Of course there's lots of great stuff for kids, from games to encyclopedias for homework help.

Click on the animal photos or words at right for pet care information relevant to you. To get started you might want to visit the general information section. It lists some excellent animal care resources and has info on adopting a pet, first aid, finding a vet and lost and found resources.

Additional resources - such as books, magazines, newspapers, videos and DVDs - are available at your local branch of the Middlesex County Library. You can even search the library catalogue from home!
