As industrial and residential growth has occurred,
Middlesex County has implemented a comprehensive zoning
and land use plan to minimize any potential
conflicts between industrial, residential and
agricultural residents.
The quality of Middlesex County’s internal infrastructure
is not limited to servicing and industrial land
development but includes a continuous arterial road
system. Businesses capitalizing on the large market
opportunities, created by Middlesex County’s location,
have an effective road system connecting them to
Ontario’s Highway 401 and 402 (NAFTA Super Highways), to
CNR and CPR railways and the London International
Airport.
The quality of the transportation system has allowed
automotive component manufacturers operating on a “just
in time” inventory system to locate and be successful in
Middlesex County.
